Non-licensed Psychologist: FT Goshen
We are looking for a non licensed psychologist for a full time position in Goshen, NY.
Position is responsible for the following:
Performing professional psychological services under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or other appropriate licensed clinician.
o Design, develop, administer, score, and interpret psychological tests.
o Conduct psychological evaluations.
o Participate at treatment team meetings and assist in the development of behavioral/treatment plans.
o Participate in and lead individual, family and group counseling sessions.
o Prepare reports and maintain a wide variety of records.
o Work with individuals receiving services that present the more complex behavioral and/or mental health problems.
o assessment and treatment
o clinical leadership
o program management
o forensic or court-ordered assessment
o psychological services requiring expertise in neuropsychology, child and adolescent psychology, sex offender treatment, cognitive rehabilitation, trauma, and substance and/or chemical abuse programs
o specialized assessment (functional, personality, risk, competency, vocational, education)
o design and application of behavioral technology and other specialized psychological interventions
o individual, group or family therapy
o crisis intervention, consultation to other agencies
This position requires the following:
o Masters Degree in psychology from a regionally accredited college or university which prepares graduates for master's level psychologist positions in clinical or community mental health settings; including a psychology practicum or externship; and two years of supervised post Master's Degree psychology experience working with children and/or adolescents; OR
o Doctoral degree in a field of psychology, AND EITHER a one-year, full-time clinical internship or traineeship OR one year of psychology experience in a clinical setting, under the supervision of a licensed psychologist. Candidate will also need a minimum of two years experience working with children and/or adolescents.

Responsibilities include:
o Performs therapy, counseling and / or case management with prisoners on the treatment team caseload in individual or group setting.
o Therapy may include supportive and other directive techniques as deemed therapeutically appropriate, along with educational and cognitive - behavioral techniques.
o Provides crisis intervention / emergency suicide interventions and evaluations.
o Documents treatment provided on appropriate forms in the medical record in a timely manner as required by policy directive, operating procedure or supervisor.
Qualifications include:
o Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited college or university with a curriculum in Psychology approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) and transcripts must be included with application.
o Completion of an APA accredited internship under a licensed Psychologist.
o Current valid unrestricted license to practice in the specialty of Psychology.
o Certified documentation of education, training and license per contract requirement.
o Documentation of experience per contract requirement.
o Current BLS certification.
o Minimum of (1) one year relevant work experience preferred.
o Successful completion of Maxim background screening and hiring process.
o Successful completion of Maxim screening exam(s) with a passing score of 80% or greater.
