Summary:
The Production Planning Supervisor is responsible of daily production scheduling and PSI (Purchase/Sale/Inventory) control.
The PSI control includes inventory control, purchasing and shipment.
Exempt position.
Job Duties:
Production Scheduling Receives purchase order requests and forecasts from customers and schedules/arranges the daily production schedule.
Prepares and updates the production plans and PSI (Purchase/Sale/Inventory).
Provides production assignments and priority to production team to ensure production output and efficient production operations.
Monitors the progress of actual production against the production schedule.
Inventory Control Daily analysis of inventory on hand and inventory needed to complete production plan.
Maintains current inventory control system which called Macola Maintains and daily check to make more accuracy for inventory location control by the bar-code system.
Conducts a monthly inventory count Purchasing Maintains raw material databases.
Prepares and updates purchase plan for raw materials and components.
Orders raw materials and components on a monthly basis through the established vendors.
Coordinates deliveries of raw materials and components from vendors.
Interacts with other departments to maintain the production plan.
Ensures that deliveries of materials arrive on time.
Education & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in business or relevant field.
Must be able to use advanced mathematical formulas in spreadsheet programs.
Must be able to maintain inventory-using production planning software.
Proficiency in both English and Japanese business writings and conversations.
Has at least four years of general business experience, which should encompass accounting or production and inventory control.
Must understand ISO 9000, ISO 14000, TPM and safety principles.

- Oversee daily operations of the production floor in a warehouse setting - Coordinate and assign tasks to production workers - Monitor and ensure adherence to production schedules and quality standards - Train and mentor new employees on production processes and procedures - Collaborate with other departments to optimize production efficiency - Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions - Maintain accurate production records and reports Skills:
