Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped

Work in an exciting and meaningful field teaching children with developmental disabilities.
We are seeking a Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped to provide comprehensive services to students in the areas of language, speech and communication development.
Orange-Ulster BOCES provides the foundation and knowledge that enables its students to venture forth in any direction they choose.
Students served (K-12) include individuals with significant developmental and intellectual disabilities, social/emotional needs, behavior management needs and/or learning differences.
Youll do this by:
Understanding the needs that will maximize a student's speech-language proficiency and communication effectiveness through work in individual and group sessions, support with push-in services as appropriate and collaborating with classroom teachers regularly Serving as the subject matter expert, working directly with identifying, developing and implementing appropriate instructional strategies, materials, equipment and environmental factors that will maximize a student's speech and language functioning Drafting appropriate annual goals and short-term objectives to present at the annual CSE meeting, evaluating and re-evaluating the short-term objectives on a regular basis Possessing the critical thinking skills to effectively assess, develop and deliver training and information for special education personnel and parents in augmentative and alternative communication systems Why this is a great job:

Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university Valid teaching credential authorizing specialized services for students in the area of Speech and Hearing Handicapped or Speech and Language Disabilities Experience preparing sequential and meaningful instruction geared to the students assessed needs, IEP goals and objectives, functioning, and motivational levels A personal drive for continuous learning and a desire to develop your skills Recommended Skills Critical Thinking Teaching Telecommunications Law Enforcement Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
